Let's be real for a second: if you've never had surgery before, taking that first step and requesting a surgical consultation can be a little scary. And even if you've had a surgical procedure in the past, you probably expect the cosmetic surgery experience to be a little different, but the details are a bit hazy.

We're here to take out all the guesswork and give you a clear idea of what to expect when you visit our plastic surgery practice in Fort Myers to learn more about the procedure you're considering. Your Consultation, Step by Step

• When you first enter our office, you'll be greeted at the front desk by one of our patient coordinators, a friendly face to welcome you to our practice and guide you to a private, comfortable consultation room.



• Once you get settled in the consultation room, our patient coordinator will walk you through the consultation process and offer you a selection of both hot and cold drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, coffee, water, and sodas. Before Dr. Campanile arrives, you'll have an opportunity to view our expansive before and after photo collection, contained in leather bound books and clearly marked by procedure category.



• Dr. Campanile will come in, introduce himself, and sit down with you to first answer any and all questions you may have. He will also discuss some details about the procedure that interests you. Dr. Campanile likes to spend about a half-hour talking things over with you. If you're interested in a facial procedure, he will examine you right in the consultation room. For body and breast procedures, you'll be taken to an exam room in another part of our office.



• Dr. Campanile is accompanied by a patient coordinator during all exams. As part of your brief exam, he will make sure you are a good candidate and he is better able to explain how your surgery will be performed by showing you on your own face or body.



• A patient coordinator wraps up the consultation by taking care of any loose ends and explaining next steps, such as the scheduling process, availability, and rates for your procedure interests.



• Every client who comes in for a consultation is offered a complimentary VISIA® Complexion Analysis from our licensed skin care specialist, who will also review your results with you.
